School History

Our History

Chesingele Secondary School, now known as Chesingele Senior High School , is a C4 category public institution established in 2004. It began as a community school and later in the same year transitioned to a DEB-sponsored school. At its inception, the school admitted only 10 learners and was staffed by 5 teachers headed by M/s Ann Moraa Nyabuto. Over the years, Chesingele Senior School has experienced steady growth in student enrolment, physical facilities, and academic performance.

Today, the school offers education at the secondary level and continues to expand. Most recently, it admitted its first cohort of over 280 Grade 10 learners. The current student population now stands at just over 750 learners. Current principal is David Nguru.

Since its founding in 2004, Chesingele Senior High School has remained steadfast in its mission to develop disciplined and responsible learners. The school’s progress and success have been shaped by the leadership of the following principals:
